To Submit Your ARTWORK

Ridgewood Press.com's Art Department operates mainly on a MAC based platform but we can work with IBM based files. To ensure that your art submissions can be processed in a smooth and timely manner, please read and follow the artwork specifications as described herein.

To send your files, please use our "UPLOAD CENTER " link above in the toolbar.

If you are outsourcing your design work to a graphics house, agency, or freelance artist, please make sure that they have a copy of these specifications before they begin working on your design.

All print projects are printed CMYK. All colors must be converted to CMYK prior to submission. Any alterations that have to be made by our Art Department will be billed at an hourly rate of $85.00, with a minimum charge of $35.00.

There will be a fee of $25.00 if you have to submit your artwork more than 2 times.

Note:

All files must be 300dpi or higher.
When submitting art in any format, please ensure that the company name is included in each file's name and a file extension is appended to the end of the file, your_file.psd).

Acceptable Programs and File Types (* = Preferred Formats)

*Quark XPress - Mac and PC (must include all fonts and supporting files)
Adobe Photoshop 8.0 (CS) or earlier version - Mac or PC (flatten image and convert to TIFF)
*Adobe Illustrator 11.0 (CS) or earlier version - Mac or PC (create outlines for fonts and submit as EPS)
Adobe Pagemaker - Mac (up to version 6.5 - must include all fonts and supporting files)
Adobe InDesign - (CS 1). (must include all fonts and supporting files)

*all formats must be 300 dpi

We cannot accept MS Word and MS Publisher files for printing, but they may be sent for reference. There will be an additional art charge to recreate the file. The fonts and layout will be matched as closely as possible. We will send you proofs of this. Please send copies for us to supply you an estimate.
